Start With Understanding
Understanding the conditions of your fishery is a key first step in developing a management plan. Up until this point, understanding the health of the fishery has been costly and hard to quantify. At Aquatechnex, we have adopted a sophisticated hydro-acoustic mapping system to make this process accessible to more lakes and ponds.
Hydro-acoustic mapping
Aquatechnex has begun using this technology to provide an accurate picture of the fishery in your lake. This technology relies on a sonar survey with high resolution equipment. The data is then processed through algorithms that count fish present, provide data on size of the fish, identifies the water depths they are using and provides an image heatmap showing how they are utilizing the lake.
Fisheries Management Plans
This information is extremely useful in showing what the fishery looks like as a starting point. Our fisheries biologists take it from there. We can develop stocking recommendations, provide the fish, enhance habitat and manage feeders. We regularly meet with our fisheries clients to update our information and adjust the populations to meet the goals of the client whether it be a trophy bass lake, or a pristine trout lake.
